This also means maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which is why we offer a flexible work environment to support the unique and busy lives that our people lead.   Reports to:  Engineering Manager   Based at:  Victoria Office   Position Purpose:  Working closely with the Senior Designer, Project Manager, assisting on various projects, and contributing to the technical capability and production requirements of the Service Line. Provides exceptional customer service and coordination assistance with internal and external project partners (consultants, contractors, etc.).   Specific Responsibilities Include: - AutoCAD design - REVIT drafting - Write various engineering reports under senior designer supervision. - Coordinate with all Service Lines, extract and relay relevant information for complex problems. - Possess working knowledge of national and local building codes. - Exercise independent judgement in various engineering tasks. - Provide guidance and leadership to junior teammates; this includes reviewing reports and construction documents and ensuring technical standards are met. - Ensure internal quality control process is followed and implemented. - Share expertise with other offices. - Prepare technical design under the senior designer supervision for a variety of design aspects: - Lighting calculations - Lighting design with minimum supervision - Coordination with mechanical and prepare mechanical motor schedule - Power, lighting, mechanical circuiting, and preparation of panelboard schedules - Follow Williams Engineering protocols, design checklist, templates - Power and Low-tension system design   - Work closely with the senior designer to effectively resolve electrical conflicts with contractors during construction phase. - Resolve technical issues and cost implications. - Conduct regular construction administration tasks such as site reviews, write site field reviews/site instruction/change orders, review of shop drawings, coordinate with the electrical contractor, under the senior designer supervision. - Promote, clarify, and embody WEC Purpose and Core Values. - Adhere to the company policies, guidelines, standards, as well as the company and client safety policies and practices in effect at any given time. - Have the ability to apply for a Federal security clearance in order to work on institutional projects as required.
